On May 8, Hda. Imbang Mesa residents celebrated their annual fiesta with gratitude after Negros Power awarded the community a cash prize, fulfilling its promise under the Sitio Electrification Program.
The program was introduced to help remote communities gain access to reliable electricity. For Hda. Imbang Mesa, the electrification project, brought major improvements to daily life after years of limited access to stable power service.
As part of the initiative launched last year, Negros Power challenged the community to avoid disconnections for an entire year. In return, the company promised to give a special reward during the community fiesta celebration.
