Negros Power Deploys Response Teams, Strengthens Preparations for Undas 2026
As thousands of families prepare to visit cemeteries and memorial parks this November 1 and 2, Negros Electric and Power Corporation (Negros Power) is stepping up its preparations to help ensure reliable electricity services during Undas 2026.
Negros Power’s Undas 2026 Contingency Plan includes sending out response teams, placing standby staff, and checking transformers in areas where more people are expected during All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.
This effort is meant to give quick help if there are any power issues and to keep electricity services safe and reliable during the two-day observance.

Negros Power Deploys Response Teams Across Four Cities
Negros Power has set up response teams in eight areas, covering Bacolod City, Talisay City, Silay City, and Bago City as part of its contingency plans.
Staff will work in two shifts to provide 24-hour monitoring and help. The morning shift is from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and the evening shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
In Bacolod City, response teams will monitor major public and private cemeteries, including:
- Bacolod North Public Cemetery
- Bacolod South Public Cemetery in Handumanan
- Rolling Hills Cemetery
- Palm Heaven Cemetery
- Chinese Cemetery
- Rose Lawn Cemetery
- Bacolod Memorial Park
- Sanctuario de Bacolod
- Forest Lake Memorial Park
Additional personnel will cover Talisay Public Cemetery and Heaven’s Gate Cemetery, Silay Public Cemetery, Daan Pari Cemetery, Lasting Peace Cemetery, and Bago City Cemetery.
Negros Power will also place standby response teams in key spots in Bacolod, Talisay, Silay, Bago, and Murcia. These extra staff members will help give quicker assistance if technical issues come up.
Transformer Inspections and Monitoring in Cemetery Areas
Negros Power will also inspect and monitor transformers in the cemeteries it has identified.
The company will inspect distribution transformers with capacities from 10 kVA to 50 kVA, depending on the location. These steps are meant to keep electrical facilities safe and reliable as electricity use and public activity increase.
Engr. Mervin Dalian, AVP for Network Development and Operations at Negros Power, said the company has prepared its teams and chosen key standby locations to respond quickly to any power issues.
He also stressed the need to monitor important areas, especially cemeteries and memorial parks where many people are expected during Undas.

Keeping Communities Powered During Undas 2026
As thousands of families gather at cemeteries and memorial parks, having reliable electricity is important to keep public spaces safe and orderly.
Negros Power’s Undas 2026 Contingency Plan is designed to reduce service disruptions and make sure technical staff are ready to help whenever needed.
While families gather to remember and honor their loved ones, Negros Power remains focused on reliable service, public safety, and being ready to respond.
During this important time of remembrance, the company stays committed to keeping communities powered and ready to help.
