Negros Power Adjusts September 2026 Bill Delivery Schedule
Negros Power customers may notice their September 2026 electricity bills arrived later than usual. The company started sending out September bills on September 22, after updating its billing process to follow the Energy Regulatory Commission’s Secondary Price Cap for the Visayas.
September 22 was the first day bills were sent out, but each customer will still get their statement based on their usual billing schedule.

Why Were the September Bills Delayed?
This change is due to ERC Order No. 2026- 048-MC, which brought the Secondary Price Cap to the Visayas region.
The new rule aims to help control unusually high electricity prices in the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market, or WESM.
Since the order changed how electricity charges are calculated, Negros Power updated its September billing process before sending out bills.
What Does the 54 Percent Figure Mean?
The ERC order estimates that the average electricity price in the Visayas will drop by about 54 percent under the Secondary Price Cap.
However, this number is just a regional average, so not every customer will see the same reduction on their bill.
The real effect will depend on your electricity use, supply agreements, market factors, and other charges. The final numbers also rely on settlement details from the Independent Electricity Market Operator of the Philippines, or IEMOP.
Meter Reading Will Continue as Scheduled
The billing update will not affect the regular meter reading schedule.
Your electricity use during the billing period will still be used to figure out your charges.
Payment Deadline Will Be Extended
Negros Power will automatically extend your payment deadline based on when you actually receive your bill.
So, please check the due date printed on your bill and use that as your payment guide.
What Should Consumers Do?
When your September bill arrives, take a few minutes to look it over before you pay.
- Check your meter reading. Compare it to your last bill and see if the amount used matches what you normally use.
- Look at the billing period. Make sure the dates match what you expect for your account.
- Check the charges listed. Review each item on your bill and the total amount due.
- Pay attention to the payment deadline. Use the due date on your latest bill, not an older one.
- Keep a copy of your bill. This will help you compare future charges or ask questions if needed.
If something on your bill looks off or your usage, charges, or total seem wrong, contact customer service for help.
What to Expect Next
The impact of the Secondary Price Cap on individual Negros Power customers will become clearer once the applicable settlement figures are incorporated into the September billing computations.
Your September bill will give you the most accurate information, since it shows the charges for your account and electricity use.

Negros Power’s September 2026 billing update is part of implementing the ERC Secondary Price Cap in the Visayas.
