Puerto Princesa City, Palawan – Foundever® associates in Palawan demonstrated their commitment to ecological preservation by participating in the 21st annual Love Affair with Nature event, joining the local government and community volunteers in a large-scale mangrove tree planting initiative at Sitio Bucana in Barangay Iwahig.
With this year’s theme, “Roots of Resilience: Planting Mangroves, Nourishing Communities,” the event harnessed the power of collective action in ecological restoration. A total of 8,000 mangrove seedlings—comprising of Pototan, Tabigi, Tangal, and Dungon Late species—were planted across designated zones, reinforcing Puerto Princesa’s commitment to environmental conservation. These tree species are known to contribute to biodiversity, coastal protection, and carbon sequestration, and play a crucial role in combating climate change and habitat degradation.
Demonstrating its commitment to corporate social responsibility, Foundever in Palawan gladly took part in this meaningful initiative. Employees led by Site Director Freda Lou Caguin, Senior HR Manager Ingrid Zumarraga, and Senior Operations Manager Lorenz Hibo volunteered their time and efforts to plant and care for mangrove seedlings, showcasing their passion for environmental stewardship and community welfare.

Aside from the tree planting activity, the Love Affair with Nature event also featured Musikalikasan performances by local bands, a Zumba session, and a heart-warming, free mass wedding ceremony for dozens of couples sponsored by the local government in celebration of Valentine’s Day.
