There are many changes, like work setup, budgeting, safety measures for health, and how we see the money. Every centavo counts, and since cash is tough to earn during this time, we always find the cheapest deal we can have.

The mobile phone giant Samsung introduced a new model considered ‘a steal’ for people who need a reliable yet cheap mobile phone. And this is the new Samsung Galaxy A03 smartphone.

However, buying with less doesn’t always mean settling for less! Why? Because this smartphone has numerous features and excellent performance, which is very rare to find on cheap phones in the market. So, why buy an expensive smartphone if you can get the best features at half price?

Since students transitioned from face-to-face to online classes, you need to find the best phone that is student works-friendly yet won’t argue with your budget. But wait, this Samsung Galaxy A03 is not just for school purposes. And you can also use this while roaming around with your bike as a Speedometer and GPS.

To ensure that all of these statements and specs online are true, I ask my nephew to use the Samsung Galaxy A03 for five days. Mark is a college student studying BS in Computer Science and is in his 3rd year. All his classes needed to be online during the pandemic, so he must have a reliable phone to do all his tasks. At first, Mark tried the phone to shoot photos for his website design project, where he took pictures at the Panaad Park for the website content. And every time he goes biking, he uses the speedometer and GPS features of the phone, amazing, right?

Samsung Galaxy A03 features:

Design

• The Samsung Galaxy A03 has a plastic body except for the front glass. It has a non-removable polycarbonate backplate with a subtle thatched texture that aids in fingerprint resistance.
• It has a large 6.5-inch PLS TFT display with a resolution of 7201600 pixels. Because of its HD+ technology, content appears sharp, crisp, and clear. The display has a good amount of detail, brightness, and relatively vibrant colors.
• It has dimensions of 164.2 x 75.9 x 9.1 mm and weighs 196 grams.
• Because of its refined curves, the phone is comfortable to hold and very easy to navigate. 
• It comes in three different colors: blue, black, and red.
• The power button and volume rocker/control are located on the right side. The card tray is on the left side, with slots for SIM 1, SIM 2, and MicroSD cards.
• The 5MP F2.2 front camera is located at the top of the front screen. On the other hand, the microphone is located near the top of the phone.
• The 3.5 mm headphone jack, Micro USB 2.0 charging port, and speaker are all located at the bottom. A dual-camera array (48MP F1.8 main and 2MP F2.4 secondary) with an LED flash is located in the upper left corner of the rear.

– My nephew Mark loves the curved design since he can easily grip and hold the phone.

• The Samsung Galaxy A03 is powered by a 1.6GHz Octa-Core processor with up to 3GB/4GB of RAM and runs Android 11. It has 32GB/64GB/128GB of internal storage that can be expanded with a microSD card up to 1TB.

 Note: The Samsung Galaxy A03 is not designed for high-end gaming, but small 2D games can be played without issue. It’s ideal for everyday use and basic tasks.

Mark’s favorite Games that he played using Galaxy A03 are Mobile Legends, Need for Speed, and Call of Duty Mobile. And he loves the performance of the Galaxy A03 because he can play games without any lags.

In addition, he was amazed since the phone performs well on social media apps when listening to music through Spotify and, of course, watching on YouTube.

Memory Storage

• It has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory (ROM), which can be expanded to 1TB with a microSD card. It is also available in 3GB RAM / 32GB ROM and 4GB RAM / 128GB ROM configurations.

 –        Because of the phone’s large memory capacity, he can download movies and a lot of games. He can also store many photos and videos you’re your classes for students, which is a significant advantage.

User Interface (UI)

The One UI Core of the Samsung Galaxy A03 allows the user to switch apps and get information for multiple apps quickly. You can perform numerous tasks on a single screen.

–        My nephew said that the user interface of the Galaxy A03 is very easy to use. This would be an advantage for those who get used to apple gadgets. 

Camera

The Samsung Galaxy A03’s main camera is a 48MP wide sensor with autofocus, and the secondary sensor is a 2MP depth camera that can be used to adjust the background and foreground focus.

 Simply adjust the 2MP depth camera and fine-tune the background blur behind your subject to take high-quality portrait shots. It also has a 5MP front-facing camera with Live Focus. It can also record videos in 1080p at 30 frames per second.

 It has a simplified Pro mode that only allows you to change the white balance, ISO, and exposure and the usual panorama, night, and hyper-lapse modes.

Galaxy A03 Battery

The battery capacity of the Samsung Galaxy A03 is 5000mAh. You can use the phone for 6 hours straight. However, it will take 2 to 3 hours to fully charge from 0 to 100 percent.

–        He also tried using it after his class to play games, update social media, and even watch videos on YouTube, and the battery is still up.

Speaker

The audio from the single mono speaker at the bottom is quite loud. You can use it for speaker calls and mainstream music. It employs the Dolby Atmos technology. The Samsung Galaxy A03 is one of the few phones that still has a 3.5mm audio jack.
