Negros Power Drops Rates: Cheaper Electricity This June 2025

If you’re living in Bacolod or anywhere within Negros Power’s franchise area, we’ve got good news that’s sure to brighten your day. Starting this June 2025, electricity just got cheaper. Yep, you read that right. Negros Power drops rates by 55 centavos per kilowatt-hour, giving families, small business owners, and everyone in between a well-deserved breather.

What This Rate Drop Means for You

Let’s break it down. Residential consumers will now pay ₱11.14 per kilowatt-hour, down from ₱11.69 last month. If your household uses about 200 kWh a month, you’re looking at savings of around ₱110. That’s more money for groceries, school supplies, or your next milk tea run.

In a time when every peso counts, this change feels like a breath of fresh air. And it’s not just for households. Businesses also benefit from the lowered rates, helping reduce operational expenses and increase profit margins.

Why the Rates Went Down

The drop isn’t just a lucky break. It’s the result of strategic energy management and ongoing infrastructure improvements. Negros Power has been hard at work upgrading their lines and systems to make their service more efficient. And guess what? It’s working.

Their latest reports show that the feeder loss rate dropped 8.03 percent from 8.28 percent last month. That means less electricity is being wasted, and more is going exactly where it needs to go — to you.

This operational efficiency plays a big part in making energy more affordable. It also shows that the company isn’t just about providing power. They’re investing in long-term solutions that benefit everyone in the community.

Commercial Rates Also Go Down

If you’re running a business, here’s more good news. June 2025 commercial rates are also lower:

  • Low Voltage: ₱11.18 per kWh
  • High Voltage: ₱10.09 per kWh

This decrease helps business owners manage expenses better, especially those recovering from recent economic challenges. A lower electric bill means more room to grow and reinvest, whether you’re managing a bakery, a tech startup, or a sari-sari store.

More Than Just Power — It’s Support

Negros Power made it clear that this is part of their ongoing promise to serve the people. They say, “We understand the pressure on household budgets — that’s why we’re working non-stop to provide reliable, affordable power for every home and business.”

And honestly, it’s refreshing to hear a power provider say that and then back it up with real action. With inflation affecting daily expenses and utility costs often feeling like a burden, even a slight drop in rates makes a real difference.

What to Expect Moving Forward

The company isn’t stopping here. Negros Power has its eyes on the future, with continued upgrades, better energy management, and customer-first innovations in the works. The goal? To keep reducing costs while delivering better and more reliable electricity service across the region.

If this trend continues, consumers can expect lower monthly bills, fewer power interruptions, improved customer service, and more transparency in how power is delivered and priced.

A Win for Your Wallet and Your Home

This rate adjustment proves that thoughtful planning, investment in infrastructure, and a genuine commitment to the community can result in tangible benefits for everyday people. When Negros Power drops rates, everyone wins — families, businesses, and the local economy.

So, if you haven’t checked your bill yet, now might be a good time. You’ll like what you see.
