Skechers GOrun Powers Gerald Anderson to Finish 42K at the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon

Los Angeles, California—Celebrity athlete Gerald Anderson, the Philippines’ delegate to the recently concluded Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon, was among the thousands who finished the race. Gerald finished strong with a time of 4 hours, 25 minutes, and 2 seconds.

Gerald, also the face of Skechers Performance’s Go Like Never Before campaign, has been training since late last year for his very first marathon. On his 42k finish, Gerald says “this is a goal that I really wanted to accomplish. My Skechers Go Run was incredibly responsive and comfortable to use. It propelled me to the finish line”.

Crossing the finish line was a shining moment for Gerald, but that feat did not come easy. Gerald shares more of his race experience and his near-breaking point in the 35^th kilometer: “Nagpre-pray ako, Lord, please get me there. Tapos kinausap ko yung legs ko, please, ‘wag ka muna bumigay.”

In the finish marker, Gerald says: “Proud ako sa sarili ko na natapos ko, and nakarating ako sa finish line. Ang layo pa ng tinakbo namin. It’s really amazing.” On running with different people from all over the world, he adds: “Ibang klase iyong community, talagang nagtutulungan. Kahit naguunahan yung mga tao, nagtutulungan kami”.+
