For July 2026, the average residential electricity rate is now ₱14.1287 per kilowatt-hour, compared to ₱13.8417 per kilowatt-hour in June. This represents an increase of ₱0.2870 per kilowatt hour.

Compared with the previous month:

• Residential customers experienced an increase of ₱0.2870 per kilowatt hour
• Low Voltage customers saw an increase of ₱0.3025 per kilowatt hour
• High Voltage customers recorded an increase of ₱0.3170 per kilowatt hour

These changes show the higher cost of buying electricity from the wholesale market during this billing period.

Why Did Electricity Rates Increase?

The main reason for the increase is that electricity costs more in the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market.
