Sun Life Philippines invited Overseas Filipino Workers and their families in Bacolod City and treated them to a homecoming celebration.
The event, titled “Shine Pinoy Overseas,” served as a means to strengthen family ties amid long periods spent apart, especially for those who couldn’t come home during the lockdowns at the height of the pandemic.
They were held at Seda Hotel, with over a hundred in attendance. Exciting fun games are played with prizes, such as Sun Life promotional items and dinner vouchers at Seda was given.
Sun Life invited Mr. Randell Tiongson, a top personal finance speaker, and shared tips on how every family member can contribute to achieving financial freedom. Their Sun Life advisors were likewise present to assist them in reviewing their financial portfolios.
Sun Life conducted a study showing that it is common for OFWs and their families to cover all bases in preparing for the OFW’s departure. However, they tend to overlook the need to prepare for when the OFW finally comes home. Sun Life is here to help them make the necessary preparations in terms of their finances. This way, they can make the most of their time abroad, plan their homecoming, and continue to live comfortably after that.
All these are covered in Sun Life’s “Shine, Pinoy Overseas!” program.
